The sad thing is that in most cases these people are not even aware that they are making excuses, and will come up with a long list of "reasons" for not getting tasks done. The biggest obstacle though, is without question the fact that they are continually searching for the "best" affiliate program.

There are a number of ways that you can overcome this mental block, and once you are aware of it you can take steps to avoid it. To begin with we need to discuss the problem, which is really quite straight forward. Affiliate marketers never get started promoting a program because they are still searching for "the one". Also you need consider the type of commission you want to earn, whether you are more interested in receiving once off payments or recurring residual income.

If you want to concentrate on earning an income from recurring commissions, you may find that you will earn less per sale, but over the long term you will actually end up making more money than you would from just a single sale.

It is possible that there are other pre-requisites you will want to set such as the type of product you want to promote. What you must remember is that so long as the product you promote meets your minimum requirements, all you need to do is stop worrying about the next best thing and focus on doing the job. Don't become one of those online affiliate marketers who ends up being a statistic. If the product has a good conversion rate, offers a good commission and meets the rest of you basic criteria, you need to get going and start making money.
